About the school
Al Basma British School takes pride in its deep historical roots extending back to 1980 when it was known as "Giggles English School," reflecting its long-standing commitment to providing distinguished education in Abu Dhabi. After reopening in 2014, the school continued its journey in providing high-quality British education through a modern campus specifically designed to meet students' needs, which has witnessed continuous development over the years.
The first phase of the school campus was built nine years ago, while the second phase dedicated to primary school was completed four years ago. This unique combination brings together prestigious educational heritage and modern advanced facilities, providing students with the opportunity to benefit from a rich legacy of excellence in a contemporary educational environment that stimulates learning and growth.
Rooted in tradition, growing towards the future.

Each student's unique skills and talents are unleashed and nurtured in an environment of care and mutual respect; an environment that promotes resilience, self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-management skills.
Al Basma British School is a healthy and safe environment through which students can enjoy learning, make progress, and achieve high standards. They will be encouraged to participate fully in school life and contribute positively to the school and wider community, ultimately becoming successful, enthusiastic, and well-adjusted adults who achieve economic wellbeing. We will measure our success based on these outcomes.
