Admission Procedures at Al Durrah Nursery

Most children begin attending the nursery in September, but registration is available at any time during the year. Admission is subject to availability, and children who meet admission criteria are accepted based on available capacity.

Initially, a complete application form must be submitted. After receiving the application, the admissions office contacts parents to inform them of the application status. If a vacancy is available, the next step in the admission procedures is explained. If no vacancy is available within the child's age group, the application is placed on a waiting list.

Parents are advised to visit the nursery and meet with the nursery director to learn about the facilities. A visit can be arranged directly. The nursery director assesses the child's readiness to join and determines the appropriate class according to age group.

Admission Policy for Children with Additional Needs

Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) are considered people of determination. All admission applications are subject to availability. New applications for children with additional needs are referred to the nursery director for assessment. The nursery director evaluates the child's condition and provides recommendations to the admissions department. It is determined whether the nursery is capable of meeting the child's needs, with a recommendation for full or partial acceptance (in cooperation with another specialized educational entity), or an apology if no suitable place is currently available.

Age Groups

The child must be between 4 months and under 4 years old at registration. If it becomes apparent that the child is ready to move to the next age group during the school year, the recommendation is discussed with the parent, and the transition occurs after agreement.

Children aged 2.8 years or older (32 months or more) as of September 1 of the relevant school year are required to register for regular attendance for 5 days per week. Children from 4 months to 32 months can choose flexible attendance, in addition to the option of regular attendance for 5 days, subject to availability.

  • Maintaining the child's motivation through encouragement and providing them with basic guidance that enables them to know what they should do
