About the school

Emirates International School Jumeirah – British Curriculum was established in 1991 as a community service of Al Habtoor Group. It provides high-quality international education to more than 2,225 students from over 102 countries, from kindergarten through Grade 13.

It is considered the first school in Dubai to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, after receiving IB accreditation as an "authorized IB World School" in 1992. Over more than 30 years, its Diploma Programme results have been among the highest in the region. The school is accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education, CIS, IB, and TASS, and today offers the accredited British Curriculum as a second curriculum across all educational stages.

Education should include the development of the individual as a whole, with the school focusing on academic, physical, social, and creative growth.

  • Parents must complete the online school enrollment application to begin the application process, with a list of required documents attached when submitting the application.
  • A non-refundable advance administrative fee of AED 525 (including 5% VAT) is required.
  • The transfer certificate from the current school (except Dubai) must be printed on the school's official letterhead, stamped with its seal, and signed by its principal. Except for the United States, Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, the transfer certificate must be attested by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the UAE Embassy in the country of certificate issuance.
  • A reference number will be sent within two business days of submitting the online application. After that, you must contact the admissions office to confirm completion of the application process.
  • Interview or assessment appointments are scheduled upon the school's receipt of the completed application with application fees.
  • Completing the assessment does not guarantee a seat at the school, and priority is given to siblings, Al Habtoor residents, then other applicants. Seats are granted only upon successfully passing the assessment and when vacancies are available.
  • Early Years: All children must be fully toilet trained. Children must know how to use the toilet and be able to communicate verbally with an adult when they need to.
  • Grades 1 to 3: All students are required, when applying, to complete an entrance test in mathematics and English. This test is supervised by teachers in these grades.
  • For Grades 4 to 6: All students will be required to complete a CAT4 assessment in a supervised environment and at the most appropriate level for the student.
  • For admission to Grades 7 to 11: All students will be required to complete a CAT4 assessment in a supervised environment and at the most appropriate level for the student.
  • IB Program Years (Year 12 and Year 13): For admission to Grade 12, previous report card results and interview responses are combined to determine acceptance.
  • For Year 12 students, an interview with the IB coordinator is required in addition to the CAT 4 test.
  • Year 13 students are only considered for admission if they are students in good standing transferring from IB schools and taking courses that match those offered at EISJ.

**Required Documents for Application:

Make sure you have soft copies of the following documents ready before filling out the application:

  • Recent passport copy - student, mother, and father
  • Recent residency visa - student, mother, and father
  • Recent Emirates ID - student, mother, and father
  • Birth certificate - student
  • Vaccination card - must be submitted to the doctor on the first day of school along with the medical form which will be shared in due course by the school medical department
  • Recent report cards in English for the last academic term
  • Tenancy agreement or ownership of your residential unit (if you live in Al Habtoor property)

Parents will be given seven business days to pay tuition fees after acceptance. If payment is not made, the offer will be cancelled.

Parents are required to sign an acceptance form and pay tuition fees in advance. Once term fees are paid, signing a contract between parents and the school is mandatory according to KHDA requirements.

In case of withdrawal or non-attendance, 10% of total tuition fees are non-refundable/non-transferable, according to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).

Fees are paid into the school's bank account.
