Admission Policy

Admissions at Khalifah Al Hamzah American School are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis in a fair manner. Admission also depends on an entrance test/interview for each academic level.

Admission Procedures for New Students

• Fill out the application form either online or through the reception office at the appropriate stage within the school.
• Submit a copy of passport, residence visa, and UAE ID card for the student and guardian, and the latest academic report or "To Whom It May Concern" letter from the student's current school.
• Upon receiving the application form, your son/daughter will be invited for an entrance test and interview. Children in (Pre-KG, KG1, KG2) will be invited with their parents for a formal interview.
• Students from Grade 1 to Grade 9 will be invited for computerized assessment tests and interviews.

Admission for KG1 - Grade 9 Throughout the Year

The Registration Department, in cooperation with the Senior Leadership Team, tests and evaluates applications submitted during the year on a case-by-case basis.

Admission depends on seat availability, entrance test results, and passing the interview with the relevant department head. All registration requirements and other administrative procedures remain the same as in other academic stages mentioned above.

If your application is accepted and your child is offered a seat at the school, you will be notified by phone or email and invited to attend to complete the remaining admission procedures.

The following documents must be submitted within one week from the date of the registration offer to ensure seat reservation.

Admission Documents

To facilitate your child's registration with the Ministry of Education, the following documents must be submitted with the completed application form:

• Copy of the student's most recent academic report or "To Whom It May Concern" letter from the current school.
• Copy of parents' passport with valid residence visa (for expatriates).
• Original and copy of parents' UAE ID card.
• Copy of student's passport with unified number (for Emiratis) and valid residence visa (for expatriates).
• Original and copy of student's UAE ID card.
• Copy of student's birth certificate.
• Copy of family book (for Emiratis only).
• Copy of vaccination certificate and student's medical file from current school.
• Recent colored personal photo.
• Original transfer certificate.
• Original end-of-year academic report.

An admission fee of AED 500 must be paid upon registration.

Transfer from Another School or Country

If the transfer certificate is issued within the UAE:

• Must bear the school's stamp, in addition to the stamp of the educational zone of the emirate from which it was issued (if the previous school was outside Sharjah).
• The school keeps the original.

GCC Citizens:

• The transfer certificate and academic report must bear the school's stamp and the Ministry of Education stamp.
• The school keeps the original.

From any other country: The transfer certificate must be stamped by:

• Ministry of Education in the issuing country,
• Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
• UAE Embassy in that country.
• The school keeps the original.

In all cases, academic certificates and other documents must be in Arabic or English. If they are in another language, they must be legally translated and authenticated according to regulations.

Important Note

The responsibility for submitting all required documents—in addition to copies of residence visa—lies with the guardian. Once the registration form is filled out and signed, the guardian acknowledges this responsibility.

The school will not be responsible for the Private Education Authority (SPEA) refusing to register any student for any reason, including lack of documents.

Khalifah Al Hamzah American School fees are paid in three installments at the beginning of September, December, and March. The school offers a special 20% discount on the fee amount.
