The admission process at The Modern American International School is designed to ensure students are accepted based on their academic abilities, social maturity, and potential to contribute to the school community.

The admission process begins with an inquiry to the admissions department. After that, a dedicated tour or virtual open session can be booked to learn more about the school.

Once the application is complete, the student is scheduled for an entrance exam, and parents will be informed of the exam results and admission request.

To submit an admission application, parents or guardians fill out the application form via the school's website and submit all necessary documents, including academic transcripts, birth certificates, passport copies, and a recent photo.

Once the application is received, the admissions team will review it and schedule an entrance exam and interview with the student and their parent(s) or guardian(s).

As for the admission age, it varies according to grade level. For kindergarten, children must be 4 years old by September 1st of the academic year.

For higher grades, the minimum age depends on the student's previous education.

Required documents for student registration are:

• Copy of student's passport, resident visa, UAE ID.
• Copy of parents' passports (mother and father) UAE ID.
• Copy of family book (for UAE nationals).
• Vaccination card.
• Birth certificate.
• Copy of final report card from previous school.
• Transfer certificate attested by the Ministry of Education for any student coming from a school outside Sharjah.
• Medical file from previous school.
• Government school students must provide a school leaving certificate and a report card duly attested by the Ministry of Education if the student is transferring from a school located outside the Emirates.
• Report card and transfer certificate must be attested by the following: Ministry of Education in their country, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of their country, UAE Consulate in their country.
• 2 recent colored passport-size photos.

Parents receive a founder's discount of 40% when paying fees.

We accept payment by cash checks or credit card.

The first installment is paid to reserve the child's seat before the start of school on August 10, 2023.

The second installment is paid on or before January 10, 2024.

The third installment is paid on or before April 10, 2024.

Please note that checks returned from the bank will be charged AED 500 per case. After two (2) checks are returned, the school will request cash or electronic payment only. The school will follow the Sharjah Private Education Authority's policy and guidelines regarding refunds.
