My Nursery follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, delivered using best practices learned from several early childhood educational philosophies, such as Montessori curriculum and the Reggio Emilia approach.

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is an educational framework for preschool established by the British government, launched in 2002 and recently updated. The EYFS program includes seven main areas of focus:

Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED) – We encourage children to become independent and confident, to build positive relationships with their peers and adults. Personal, social and emotional development is the foundation for children's success in the rest of the learning and development areas.

Communication and Language (CL) – My Nursery provides a linguistically rich educational environment, giving children opportunities to speak and listen, and share their ideas and feelings.

Literacy (L) – Through listening to stories and browsing a wide range of books, children develop a love of reading. At the same time, they learn letter shapes and sounds using songs, rhymes, and the Jolly Phonics program.

Mathematics (M) – This area includes dealing with numbers, shapes, spaces, and measurements, in addition to counting, sorting, and matching. Children are encouraged to develop their numerical skills, cognitive patterns, and concepts of shape and measurement through structured play.

Knowledge and Understanding of the World (KUW) – Children have a natural curiosity that drives them to discover more about the world around them and the people they meet. At My Nursery, we encourage children to explore and investigate materials and ask questions about how things work. This area is the foundation for future learning in science, design, technology, history, geography, and information and communication technology.

Physical Development (PD) – My Nursery provides children with extensive opportunities to enhance their body health and physical skills. Activities supporting gross motor skills include: running, climbing, jumping, hopping, obstacle crossing, riding tricycles, throwing and catching balls and beanbags, and watering plants. Fine motor skills are enhanced through the use of various materials such as clay, paints, crayons, scissors, beads, and puzzles.

Creative Development (CD) / Visual / Spatial – Creativity is an essential element for successful learning. We provide children with opportunities to express their ideas and feelings through art, music, movement, dance, imaginative activities, and role play.

Yes, My Nursery is a co-educational nursery, and boys and girls study together in the same classes.
