Admission procedures at Oxford School are carried out according to the following steps:

  • Fill out the online enquiry form available on the school's official website.
  • Complete the online enquiry and registration form for students. After completing the form, the parent will receive a notification including an electronic reference number and instructions on the next steps.
  • Parents must pay the application fee of AED 500 plus VAT online or by visiting the school to start the registration process. This fee is non-refundable.
  • Parents are required to submit the mentioned documents to complete the application, where documents must be uploaded online. Due to high demand, these documents will not be accepted via email.
  • The school's academic team will review the child's school reports, and an assessment interview will be scheduled.
  • Assessment Stage: The child will receive an invitation from the school registrar to conduct an assessment/interview via email or phone. Admission criteria for each student will be determined based on CAT4 tests, interview, written assessments, and school report evaluation. This will be coordinated by the school registrar, and results will be communicated via email or phone.
  • Admission Confirmation: The admissions officer will send confirmation letters to accepted applicants, subject to seat availability.
  • After a place is offered to the student and parents accept the offer, the admission fee of AED 500 plus a seat confirmation fee of 10% of tuition fees is paid either in cash or by credit card and deducted from the academic year tuition fees.
  • Applicants for IGCSE (Year 12) and Advanced IGCSE (Year 13) should complete their online applications as soon as IGCSE (Year 11) results are released, as admission is on a first-come, first-served basis, provided the conditions mentioned in the subject selection form are met.

Required Documents:

  • Passport (copies for child, parents/sponsor).
  • Residence visa page (copies for child, parents/sponsor).
  • Emirates ID (front and back) (copies for child, father, and mother - when available).
  • Copy of child's birth certificate in English (if in Arabic, please provide an English translation).
  • Recent passport-sized photo of the child.
  • Copies of school reports for the last two years for children enrolling in Year 1 and above, and copies of school reports for the last two years and CAT 4 report for children enrolling in Year 3 and above.
  • Valid medical and treatment report for 6 months, if the child has special educational needs.
  • Copy of child's vaccination card.
  • Original Emirates ID for the child and both parents (will be requested if the child is accepted at Oxford School).
  • Attested transfer certificate or leaving certificate from previous school. (Original must be submitted no later than the child's first day at school, if accepted at Oxford School).

Tuition fees at Oxford School are paid in cash, credit/debit cards, or checks at the school fees office.

Payment can also be made online through the Zenda mobile app by selecting the "Pay Now" option, after logging in using the registered email address or mobile number (registered at the school).

Note that payment is made in advance at the beginning of each semester for all three semesters. First semester fees plus annual fees are paid before the start of the first semester.

Discounts offered by the school:

  • The school offers a sibling discount of 15% on annual tuition fees, and a 20% discount on annual tuition fees for the second sibling and above.
  • It also offers a 2.5% discount on tuition fees if full fees are paid before the first semester due date (due date August 30).
  • There is also an AED 1000 discount on annual tuition fees applicable only to the afternoon period for FS1 and FS2 students.

Oxford School offers distinguished educational programs for all educational stages, as follows:

Foundation Stage FS1&FS2:

The curriculum followed in Foundation Stage 1 and 2 is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. It encourages children to think and talk about what they are learning and how they are developing.

Year 1 to Year 6:

Follows the English National Curriculum adapted to have a global dimension and be suitable for children living in the United Arab Emirates. It also focuses on teaching Arabic language, Islamic education, and moral education.

Years 7, 8, and 9:

  • Ministry of Education subjects include Moral Education, UAE Social Studies, Islamic Studies (for Muslim students), and Arabic Language.
  • Other subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, ICT, French/Urdu, Values Education (for non-Muslim students), Arts, Physical Education, and Music (for Years 7 and 8 only).
  • Various club activities, robotics, and mental and physical health sessions in the curriculum.

Years 10 and 11:

  • Key Stage 4 is a two-year study program, culminating in International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations at the end of Year 11.
  • Qualifications are offered from both Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) and Pearson Edexcel. Students obtain eight IGCSE certificates. Students follow flexible study pathways designed according to their needs and interests.
  • This stage includes various subjects: Ministry of Education subjects: Moral Education, UAE Social Studies, Islamic Studies (for Muslim students), and Arabic Language (for all students except non-Arab Year 11 students).
  • Compulsory subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Geography, ICT, and Physical Education.
  • Additional subjects: Physics, Art and Design, Chemistry, Biology, Accounting, French, Urdu, Business Management, Economics, Psychology, Travel and Tourism, Entrepreneurship, Integrated Sciences, Computer Science, Environmental Management, Sociology, and English Literature.
  • Students choose 4 subjects from 13 available subjects. Values Education is taught to non-Muslim students.

Years 12 and 13:

  • Key Stage 5 is the post-secondary stage, where students are prepared for Advanced Level (A) examinations. The first year (Year 12) is AS level, and the next year (Year 13) is A2 level. A and AS certificates are internationally recognized qualifications that provide excellent preparation for university education.
  • It includes various subjects: Ministry of Education subjects: Moral Education, Islamic Studies (for Muslim students), and Arabic Language (for Arab students).
  • Elective subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Business Management, Economics, Accounting, Applied Information Technology, English Language, Psychology, Computer Science, and Sociology.
