Admission and Registration Requirements and Procedures:

  • An application form must be completed to enroll in the school.
  • A non-refundable registration fee of AED 500 must be paid.
  • After submitting the application and registration fee, admission tests and interviews are conducted according to the educational stage:
    • In the Foundation Stage/Nursery (FS/Nursery), no formal test is required, but there is an assessment based on the child's age and adaptability.
    • For Year 1 and above, students are usually tested in English and Mathematics (and sometimes Science) to determine their readiness.
    • For higher grades (which may include transfers from another school), the previous school's report card is required, and possibly a Transfer Certificate if the student is coming from a school in another emirate or outside the UAE.
  • A set of official documents must be submitted upon admission, including: student's passport, UAE residence visa or permit, copy of student's Emirates ID, copy of birth certificate, vaccination card, and passport-size photos.
  • In cases of transfer from another school within the UAE or abroad: an official Transfer Certificate (TC) must be submitted, and some documents may need to be attested according to student transfer regulations.
  • Admission depends on seat availability in the requested grade; registration or application does not guarantee admission—having a vacant seat is an essential requirement.
  • According to the school's ownership, parents must be prepared to accept the school's philosophy that encourages creativity, independence, critical thinking, and engagement in a learning environment based on the British curriculum.

Fees at The City School International are paid in three installments at the beginning of each term, and post-dated checks for the second and third installments must be provided when paying the first semester fees.
