About the school

Mawalih Private School for boys and girls, both Omanis and expatriates, for all educational stages was established in 1996 in Muscat under the supervision of the Omani Ministry of Education. The school adopts the Cambridge curriculum in all academic grades alongside the Agareed Childhood curriculum for kindergarten stage, and provides bilingual education from kindergarten to grade twelve, and monolingual education from grade nine to grade twelve.

The school does not focus solely on students' academic excellence, but also cares about instilling fundamental values and principles in them. It also considers talents, supports them, and builds students' personalities through various activities and events, enhances the value of positive citizenship, and works to prepare a generation capable of representing the Sultanate in all international forums.

For a student to join the school, they must pass the admission interview conducted by the school with the student and parents, then fill out the application form and attach the required documents and papers. The student is accepted based on a set of criteria including age, good behavior, availability of a seat, academic abilities, English language proficiency, and previous school records in case the applicant is coming from another school. As for the required documents and papers:

  • Medical examination form (for first grade).
  • Three passport photos.
  • Copy of birth certificate.
  • Copy of passport (mother, father, student).
  • Copy of personal ID card (father, mother, (student grade twelve)).
  • Copy of vaccination card (pink).
  • Student's latest academic certificate.
  • Electronic transfer of student file (through the educational portal).
  • Copy of resident card for father, mother and student (expatriates).
  • Copy of father, mother and student visa (valid).

Registration fees are paid during application, and the fee amount is deposited into the school's bank account at Bank Muscat.

Kalimoon program, which is the Arabic language as a second language program, specifically designed for students exempted from studying Arabic language.

There is no mixing between girls' and boys' classes.
