Tawam International School is considered one of the best and most efficient schools in the Sultanate of Oman. It was established in 2010 under the supervision of the Ministry of Education. The school teaches the internationally accredited Cambridge International curriculum, which focuses on developing critical thinking skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities in students. Note: Continuous screening procedures will be followed to assess the condition and effectiveness of these safety systems, where there is no timeline, and necessary modifications and improvements will be made immediately to ensure the safety of students and staff.
The school also establishes 22 basic rules including:
1. Students must be polite and friendly and greet parents, teachers, and visitors with respect.
2. Fighting, kicking, bullying, or harming others will not be allowed. Any student convicted of this violation will be suspended from school and may be expelled from school.
3. Eating, drinking, and entering toilets after break periods is prohibited. Only kindergarten students are allowed to use toilets between break periods.
4. Wheeled school bags may pose a danger, causing collisions on stairs and even injuries. If any problems are encountered in this regard, their use may necessarily be prohibited.
5. Bringing sweets, chocolate, gum, and soft drinks to school is not allowed.
6. Using mobile phones, MP3 players, CD players, dangerous games, etc. during school hours is not allowed.
7. All clothing and belongings must be properly and clearly labeled or marked as the school is not responsible for the loss of any items.
8. We maintain the cleanliness of classrooms and school yards. Students are expected to use waste containers and not litter.
9. Water areas may become wet, slippery, and dangerous. Deliberately or unnecessarily spilling, splashing, or throwing water is prohibited.
10. Swearing or any inappropriate, rude, or impolite language will not be allowed.
11. The use of any illegal substances such as drugs or alcohol, or smoking is prohibited, and students will be expelled from school if they possess or use any of them.
12. The official school uniform is the European-designed school uniform, in addition to the traditional Omani dress. The school uniform must be neat and worn with pride always.
13. Running inside the building is not allowed.
14. Shouting inside the building is not allowed.
15. Pushing other students while going up or down stairs is not allowed.
16. Students are not allowed to enter the lobby (reception area) without permission.
17. Students must enter or exit the building through designated areas.
18. Throwing stones anywhere inside the building is not allowed.
19. Separate lines for boys and girls must be maintained in the cafeteria. Pushing or cutting in lines is prohibited.
20. Students may not enter any classroom if there is no teacher present, especially during break periods, as well as before and after school hours.
21. Any deliberate damage or breaking of school property, materials, or equipment will be dealt with very seriously, and the student may be suspended or expelled if convicted of this behavior.
22. Students will not be allowed to wander or be outside classrooms without appropriate and authorized supervision or permission from the teacher during class times.
Important Note
The school takes disciplinary action, including verbal or written warnings and detention for students who are proven guilty or non-compliant with the above-mentioned rules. In extreme cases, the student may be suspended from school or even expelled from school.
