I recently visited The Nest Nursery and was completely blown away! Kate and her team have created something extremely special here. They’ve given a lot of thought and time to ensure the child is at the centre of everything they do. Calm and stimulating environments, child-led learning engagements and a caring and safe environment which is almost tangible . As a passionate early years educator myself, I came away bursting with ideas and my heart full that a setting like this is available for children in Doha. If you haven’t seen yet, it is absolutely worth a visit in person . You will be equally blown away!

I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the wonderful experience my son had at the Nest. From the moment we enrolled him, we knew we had found something special. The nurturing environment and dedicated staff prepared him remarkably well for school. What sets this nursery apart is their unique approach to learning. The outdoor space is not only peaceful but also filled with natural opportunities for exploration and growth. My son loved spending time outside, connecting with nature, and engaging in hands-on activities that sparked his curiosity and creativity. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to foster development in a holistic way, blending play with essential learning skills. The teachers are passionate and truly care about each child's individual progress, which made all the difference for us. I wholeheartedly recommend The Nest to any parents looking for a nurturing and enriching environment for their little ones. It’s a place where children thrive, and I’m so thankful for all the memories and foundational skills my son gained during his time there! Kets and Leena and all staff at Nest, thank you for the best two years trusting you with my son. Seeing you how you progressed and being a founding family, you stayed so true to your vision and made incredible memories.

One of my biggest regrets is enrolling my one-year-old daughter in this nursery, as we were misled by the appealing outdoor environment. Unfortunately, our experience has been far from satisfactory. To begin with: Positive: My daughter definitely enjoy the outdoor facilities of the nursery. They had prepared one nice memory booklet which appreciated. Constructive Feedback: There was a day when my daughter's diaper wasn't changed, resulting in severe rashes. I wasn’t informed about this until I noticed it myself, and no one had the decency to apologize. On another occasion, we discovered when checking her lunch box at home that my daughter had gone the entire day without eating. All the food were packed, remained at the same level. Not only had she not eaten, but she had also not consumed any water. When we inquired, the initial response from the staff was that they might have filled the bottle themselves. A one-year-old cannot drink 500ml of water in seven hours! The amount of food she had eaten at home was clearly showing the level of hungriness. The next day, rather than offering an apology, the teacher suggested that maybe my daughter simply didn’t like the food. It's unrealistic to expect young children to eat calmly in a busy, unfamiliar environment. Another example of unprofessionalism is that, despite our long-term commitment to keeping our daughter in the nursery, her name and picture were never put on the shelf, while every other child had their pics. When we asked if the teacher needed a picture of our daughter, the response was that it would be added by them, but it was never done. We had the opportunity to experience two different teachers: one for a month in the baby class and another for three months in the Puddleducks class. We observed a significant difference in their personalities. We greatly appreciated Teacher Frey’s approach and wished we could have continued with her rather than moving to the upper class. Staying with her might have alleviated the unnecessary stress we encountered with the other teacher, who did not communicate effectively with parents about their children. One day, class teacher compared my child’s introverted behavior to another child who was eight months older than my kid! It’s basic wisdom not to make any comparisons between the kids! Every child is unique and needs a personalized approach. It was also quite obvious that some parents were approached more closely and developed relationships with the teachers, primarily to secure testimonials about the nursery. However, they never approached me, likely assuming my feedback would be negative. They never utilized the parent app as it was meant to be used. There was a time when I sent a message that was never replied to; however, the teacher told me directly that she was too busy to respond to messages, unlike the teacher in the baby class! It was such a shallow statement to prove our experience. After all, we sent an email to the founder of the nursery, expressing our desire to share feedback based on our experience. Unfortunately, during the initial correspondence, we were unable to find a suitable time to meet (which is quite ironic, isn’t it?). We then decided to withdraw our children from the nursery and enroll them in another one where we had been on the waiting list. As a courtesy, we informed them of our last day via email. Suddenly, the founder had time to respond and seek our feedback. I wish there had been more willingness to listen to constructive feedback. Lastly, our refundable fee reimbursement is taking forever to be processed. Our emails went unanswered, the promised date for the payment never materialized. Well, still waiting. Long story to short, not worth paying 4200 to 4300 QAR a month and getting no value out of it. I would not recommend the nursery to anyone. I know my review also will go unnoticed by them, but my aim is to share our feedback with those who are currently looking for a safe and caring nursery to keep their precious little ones
