Al-Salam Secondary School was established through cooperation between the "Education Above All" Foundation and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to provide a better educational opportunity for young people from Arab communities residing in Qatar who have left education due to external circumstances. The school relies on funding from Afif Foundation, Qatar Charity, in addition to assistance from other parties and some state agencies. The school follows the Qatari curriculum and students (boys and girls) are mixed from first to fourth grade. Starting from the fifth grade, they are separated, with girls attending in the morning and boys in the evening.

This enables students to overcome life's stages with stability, with a realistic vision that qualifies the learner for a better future, to enter the higher education landscape with confidence.
