The German International School in Jeddah was established in 1975 and follows the German education system. The school offers the German curriculum from Kindergarten through Grade 10 and provides the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma in both English and German for Grades 11 and 12. All lessons are conducted in German, except for the language classes (Arabic, English, and French).
The school's mission consists of the following eight guiding principles:A recognized German school abroad that maintains a high level of quality from Kindergarten to the International Baccalaureate. A school for families with a German linguistic background or those planning a future in the German-speaking culture. A collaborative atmosphere based on democratic values that fosters a sense of belonging and solidarity within the school community, founded on a liberal European perspective. Respect and tolerance are fundamental to fostering productive collaboration between teachers and students. The school benefits from the cultural diversity of its students and their families. We encourage students to work to the best of their abilities in a constantly evolving and open process. We support the individual development of each child and young adult. The main focus of the school is on language education.
