Admission at The Emirates International School is organized according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates and the requirements of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The academic year begins in April and ends in March. Admission to different grades is considered based on competency and seat availability. Students wishing to study at The Emirates National School must meet the criteria set by both CBSE and the Ministry of Education to be successfully admitted.

Age Requirements

The child must have completed 4 years of age by March 31 of the current year for admission to KG1, and 5 years for admission to KG2. This applies progressively to other grades.

Transfer Certificates

Students wishing to enroll from KG2 onwards must provide a transfer certificate.

Registration and Application

Registration and application forms must be completed in full, ensuring the accuracy of the information provided and attaching the following documents:

  • Copies of passport (all relevant pages including residence page), Emirates ID card, and birth certificate – (two copies of each document).
  • Recent passport-sized photograph – (5 photos).
  • Grade sheets and academic progress reports for previous grades for students applying from KG2 onwards, with the original and one copy.
  • Transfer Certificate (T.C.) with original and one copy.

Admission Test

Admission is granted based on the student's academic record and performance in the interview or assessment test (does not apply to KG1 admission).

Local Transfer

Students coming from schools in other emirates (except Sharjah) must have their transfer certificate attested by the educational districts of the Ministry of Education. Students coming from schools within Sharjah only need to submit the transfer certificate issued by the previous school within 10 days of enrollment. Admission is confirmed only after submitting all required documents.

Transfer from Outside the UAE

A transfer certificate from the last school the student attended must be submitted within 15 days of enrollment. The transfer certificate must be attested by:

  • Competent educational authorities (DEO/AEO or CBSE Regional Officer).
  • Indian Consulate in Dubai.
  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.

It is advisable to contact The Emirates International School directly and inquire about fee payment methods. It should be noted that schools in the UAE provide at least one of the common payment methods, such as: cash payment, bank transfer, or credit card.

KINDERGARTEN

At the kindergarten stage, we recognize the importance of establishing a strong educational foundation in the early stages of a child's learning. We begin the learning process by building a good and solid foundation. In the lower primary stage, we continue building the child's learning process by strengthening the foundation laid in the Cornerstone kindergarten curriculum. The Bricks & Mortar curriculum focuses on learning through hands-on activities. Our primary goal is to begin developing thinking skills and developing critical thinking in the child. Through problem-solving and option-identification skills, we help students acquire decision-making and reasoning skills in the learning process.
