Application Procedures at The English College School Dubai

Initial Inquiry: Submit an online inquiry form or contact the admissions team directly, where we are ready to answer your questions, guide you through the procedures, and help you take the first step to join our vibrant school community.

Online Application: Are you ready to apply? Please complete the online application form. Moving forward requires payment of a non-refundable application fee starting from Year 3, to confirm student assessment and reserve their place within the admission procedures.

Submit Required Documents: Upload essential documents such as the student's passport, birth certificate, latest school reports, and any learning support documents if available, with a complete checklist provided during the application process.

Assessment: As a non-selective school, we welcome learners of all abilities. In EYFS, children participate in a short and informal session with the class teacher. From Year 3 onwards, students take the CAT4 Cognitive Abilities Test, and in some years, a brief interview may also be conducted to gain a deeper understanding of each student's strengths and learning needs.

Acceptance Letter: Successful applicants receive an official acceptance letter confirming the student's admission and outlining the next steps to secure a place at The English College.

Payment of Deposit: To reserve the student's place, a 10% deposit of the annual tuition fees is required. This amount is later deducted from the total fees after completing registration.

KHDA Registration and Parent Contract: To complete student registration, KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority) registration is completed and the mandatory parent-school contract is signed, ensuring transparency and compliance with education guidelines in Dubai.

The English College School Dubai offers several payment methods for tuition fees to facilitate the process for parents:

  • Payment can be made through the ZENDA app using a credit card or bank transfer linked to the phone number registered with the school
  • Fees can also be paid in cash at ADCB bank branches
  • Or through direct bank transfer to the school's account with submission of payment receipt to confirm the transaction

A non-refundable application fee is required upon application, in addition to a deposit that is deducted from the first payment. Fees must be paid for each term before the start of classes, and students are not allowed to attend if outstanding fees are not paid.

The English College Dubai values large families, so families with three or more children enrolled at the school benefit from:

  • 10% discount on tuition fees for the third child
  • 15% discount on tuition fees for the fourth child
  • Discounts apply to the two youngest children enrolled at the school
