The school will conduct screening and assessments to determine the appropriate placement for applicants. After student registration and submission of required documents, a placement test will be requested for students entering Grade 1 and above. For students entering from Pre-KG to KG 2, group meetings will be arranged with a member of the educational team.
Bahrain Indian School seeks to determine the most appropriate grade level for each student based on their age, as well as their academic, social, and emotional development within the guidelines of approved policies. For this reason, new students may be required to complete an appropriate test to determine the most suitable grade level for them.
All new students must submit official documents proving their previous educational experience, such as performance reports and test results. All documents must be in English, and the school may request certification of translation from the consulate in the country where the student last studied to meet admission requirements.
To meet the age requirements of Bahrain Indian School's admission policy, the student must have reached the age specified next to the grade level by March 31 of the academic year. These age criteria are also determined by the Ministry of Education in Bahrain.
Parents are required to comply with the following procedures from the Ministry of Education after completing the school's admission procedures. Approval from the ministry is required for all students joining Grade 2 and above.
The transfer certificate must be certified/stamped by the Ministry of Education in the source country.
The performance report must be signed and stamped by the school (original).
Submit the above documents to the Examinations Directorate at the Ministry of Education in Bahrain to obtain an equivalence certificate.

The transfer certificate must be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in New Delhi (Apostille authentication).
The performance report must be signed and stamped by the school (original). For Grade 9 and above, the results sheet (final result of the previous grade) must also be certified along with the transfer certificate.
Submit the above documents to the Examinations Directorate at the Ministry of Education in Bahrain to obtain an equivalence certificate.
Submit the equivalence certificate and transfer certificate (original) to the school to complete the remaining procedures with the Ministry of Education.
