Admission and registration requirements at Madeleine's Pre-School:

The nursery accepts children from the age of 18 months to 6 years, with a focus on ages 2 to 6 years.

Applications must be submitted in person at the nursery office or through the official nursery website.

A non-refundable application fee of 20 Bahraini dinars is required when submitting the application.

Upon confirmation of acceptance, a non-refundable registration fee of 120 Bahraini dinars must be paid.

Priority in admission is given to siblings of current and former students, provided the application is submitted before the end of December.

Practical Life Activities

These activities are based on real tasks that children see adults performing daily. Unlike adults, children are more attracted to the process of performing the activity rather than its outcome. These activities help the child recognize the beginning and end of each activity, enabling them to complete tasks successfully.

Sensorial Domain

Sensory materials are designed to enable the child to acquire a tangible understanding of the concepts of order, sequence, and gradation, so that these concepts are established in the child's mind for life and support the development of mathematical thinking.

Language, Reading, and Writing

The child is first introduced to sounds through materials containing letters and associated objects, to help them recognize initial sounds. Children work independently to match objects with the letter that represents their initial sound. Later, sight words and three-letter phonetic words are introduced to them. Arabic and English languages are continuously reinforced through conversations, stories, songs, and rhymes.

Mathematics

Maria Montessori believed that children possess an innate mathematical mindset. Our mathematics program focuses on preparing children to understand basic concepts such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and geometry in a strong way. These concepts, despite their difficulty, form the foundation for understanding mathematics in the future.

Cultural Domain

Cultural materials teach children about the world we live in, about plants and animals, and about how all living beings depend on the sun. Children learn about human and animal life cycles and the classification of living organisms. We also introduce children to the continents and discuss the differences in lifestyle between each continent.
