Special Education
The Children's Academy is the first independent and specialized school for children with special needs in Bahrain. It was opened in September 2008 and provides individualized education within a nurturing learning environment. The school offers high levels of academic and therapeutic support. Children have access to the British National Curriculum, the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), as well as NCFE, BTEC, and GCSE certificates. All children enjoy a high-quality educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, with a comprehensive and balanced curriculum.
For The Children's Academy to be the leading school in Bahrain in providing a specialized and integrated educational environment that supports children with mild to moderate learning difficulties, enabling them to achieve their academic and personal potential.
To provide high-quality individualized education for children who face mild to moderate learning difficulties, by integrating British academic curricula with specialized therapeutic services. Also, to develop children's self-confidence, stimulate their imagination, enhance their natural curiosity, and instill values of respect and equality, in a nurturing environment based on care and integrated support.
Awaken the child's spirit and imagination, and help them find joy in learning. Nurture and preserve the child's natural curiosity, and help them develop openness to unlimited possibilities in life. Enhance learning through practical application. Celebrate every achievement, however small, and give each child the confidence to achieve success. Help each child grow, develop, and gain independence in an environment of trust, care, and mutual respect. Help each child develop feelings of empathy and respect for others. Maintain the principle of equality among all children and faculty members in all areas of the curriculum and in all aspects of school life.
