About the school
The Children's Academy is the first independent and specialized school for children with special needs in Bahrain. It was opened in September 2008 and provides individualized education within a nurturing learning environment. The school offers high levels of academic and therapeutic support. Children have access to the British National Curriculum, the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), as well as NCFE, BTEC, and GCSE certificates. All children enjoy a high-quality educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, with a comprehensive and balanced curriculum.

Parents wishing to apply for admission must complete an admission application form, with a non-refundable registration fee of 50 Bahraini Dinars.
Recent reports and assessments should be submitted with the application form. The school will review the information provided (application form and reports) to determine the child's suitability to continue the admission process.
An appointment is scheduled with the school's certified educational psychologist to conduct an additional assessment of suitability for admission (parents bear the cost of this assessment).
If the educational psychology assessment report is appropriate and compatible with the school's requirements, the child is invited to spend a day or two at the school. During this period, they are observed in the classroom by the teacher and also assessed by therapeutic specialists.
The final decision for admission to the school is based on compiling all the criteria mentioned above, taking into account the child's age, previous school, English proficiency, cognitive abilities, and educational potential.
