About the school
Al Sahwa Schools were established in 1993 in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, under the ownership of the Pension Funds of the Royal Office and the Royal Oman Police, on land donated by the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said – may he rest in peace. It is a fully accredited International Baccalaureate (IB) bilingual school, and has held accreditation from the Council of International Schools (CIS) since 2018. The school offers high-quality international education rooted in authentic Omani values.
Starting with only one class, the school has grown over the past three decades to include more than 1,100 students of various nationalities. It currently offers the IB programmes (PYP, MYP, DP) alongside the bilingual General Education Diploma, making it one of the leading international schools in the Sultanate.
