Al Mouj Private School was established in 2012 under the supervision of the Omani Ministry of Education for grades from kindergarten to grade twelve. The education system is bilingual, meaning that Arabic language and Islamic studies are taught in Arabic, while English language, science, mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biology are taught in English. The school follows the Oxford curriculum for English language and the Cambridge curriculum for mathematics and science, and the Omani curriculum for Arabic language. Therefore, it is a distinguished school that provides comprehensive education focusing on language and Islamic studies, alongside its commitment to building student character through diverse activities. The school provides teachers from various nationalities, including Omani and Egyptian teachers for Arabic language subjects, and teachers from other nationalities for foreign language subjects.
