Founded in 2021, American Gulf School is accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education and Cognia, and is also authorized by the International Baccalaureate (IB). It is the only school in Sharjah that offers the complete IB pathway with all four programs, starting from the Primary Years Programme (PYP), through the Middle Years Programme (MYP), then the Diploma Programme (DP), and the Career-related Programme (CP), alongside the American High School Diploma.

The school provides an interactive environment that enhances the joy of learning and offers educational programs that develop curious, educated, and compassionate students. It follows the American curriculum, which promotes critical thinking skills and encourages students to be creative. The school is committed to reinforcing students' national identity from an early age and provides modern technology and laboratories to give students of all levels the opportunity to learn more about programming and technology in a practical way. It also teaches them the pillars of Islam and builds their faith correctly.

American Gulf School has made the admission process easy and accessible by providing a dedicated window on its website to help you verify that your child's age falls within the school's acceptance range. After verifying the age requirement is met, you should follow these steps:

Send the required documents to the school's email or WhatsApp number, noting that parents residing outside the country who wish to register their children from Grade 2 and above must ensure that the transfer certificate and transcripts are attested before leaving the country they reside in. The required documents for application are:

  • Copy of the student's passport.
  • Latest academic progress reports for the past two years (must be translated into English with an official stamp).
  • If available, copy of recent standardized assessment results (such as: MAP, CAT4, etc.).
  • If necessary, copy of any documents related to previously identified special educational needs, including Individual Education Plans (such as: Psych Ed, IEP, ILP, etc.).
  • Pay the registration application fees and wait for the assessment appointment for the student.
  • The admissions committee reviews your application and the student's file, then gives the final decision of acceptance or rejection.

American Gulf School offers all four International Baccalaureate certificates, which include a range of accredited educational programs. Additionally, it offers specialized supplementary programs to enhance students' leadership and language skills. Its educational programs include the following:

  • Early Childhood Programme specifically designed to instill learning skills in children through play, inquiry, and hands-on exploration. The program includes 6 main areas: early language and communication skills, basic mathematical concepts, arts and creative expression, social studies and UAE national identity, physical growth and motor skills development, and social and emotional growth.
  • Primary Years Programme encourages students to ask questions, understand the world, and discover the joy of learning, enabling them to become self-confident. It includes the following core subjects: English language and literature, mathematics with deep conceptual understanding, science through research and experimentation, social studies from local and global perspectives, visual and performing arts, information technology, programming and digital literacy, Arabic language and UAE culture, and physical education and mental wellbeing.
  • Middle Years Programme prepares students for the Diploma Programme or Career-related Programme, therefore focusing on their intellectual, moral, emotional, and social development, shaping their identity and helping them apply what they learn in the real world. The curriculum includes: language and literature, mathematics, integrated sciences, individuals and societies, visual arts and design, physical education and health, language acquisition (Arabic, French, or Spanish), and digital design and innovation. In Grade 10, students complete a personal project that enhances their research skills, time management, and self-expression.
  • Internationally recognized Diploma Programme that includes six subjects at Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL), in addition to Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay, and the Creativity, Activity and Service programme.
  • Career-related Programme that gives students practical experience preparing them for the job market, blending academic courses, specialized vocational training, and life skills development.
  • Career Counseling Programme to help each student know who they are and what motivates them. In this program, they learn about future careers and university admission pathways, participate in multiple events through which they gain real experience, and receive personal guidance to help them make the right decision about their future.
  • "Youth Leadership Dynamics Programme" that creates a generation of leaders ready for the future and serving the nation.
  • STEM and Applied Robotics Programme to teach students programming, building, critical thinking, and solving real-world problems.
