- Residence page for student and parents - for non-citizens.
- Family book extract - for UAE citizens.
- Copies of UAE ID cards for parents and student (front and back) on the same page.
- Grade transcripts for the previous two academic years and current academic year - required when applying for grades 2 through 12.
- Student photo (JPEG format).
- Vaccination card for kindergarten students.
- Transfer certificate.
- Medical file.

- Bank transfer (please include the school's bank account with complete details, requested from the Accounts Department).
Please note that current dated checks or post-dated checks will not be accepted as first payment for the academic year unless this payment is made at least one month before the start of the academic year. Fees are not considered paid until the amount is deposited in the school's bank account.
As for post-dated checks, the amount will not be deducted from the balance until it is actually deposited in our bank account.
Educational Programs at Sharjah American International School:
Preschool/KG Stage:
- Preschool, KG1, and KG2.
- The school uses "Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP)" to assess children's growth in core areas such as language, social and emotional development, mathematics, science, and arts.
- Curriculum focus areas: thinking, self-discipline, language and reading, cognitive skills in mathematics and science, and physical development/art.
Elementary Stage:
- Grades 1 to 5.
- Core academic standards are based on Common Core State Standards for English language and mathematics, and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for science.
- UAE Ministry of Education curricula are taught in subjects such as Arabic language, Arabic social studies, and Islamic studies.
- Specialized subjects include ICT, music, art, physical education, and French.
Middle School Stage:
- Grades 6 to 8.
- Electives begin at this stage, such as French, art, and music.
- In grades 7 and 8, options include Creative Writing, Speech & Debate, Personal Finance, and Cyber Security & Engineering Technology.
- Core curriculum still based on California standards and NGSS for science.
High School Stage:
- Grades 9 to 12.
- Curriculum based on California Common Core State Standards with NGSS for science.
- Standards-based grading system used for college preparation.
- Electives include Computer Science, Genetics, Design and Technology, Accounting, and others.
- Arabic language, Social Studies (UAE), and Islamic Studies: taught from UAE Ministry of Education curricula.
- Minimum graduation credit requirement is 25 credits in a four-year program.

- English as an Additional Language (EAL) support program using WIDA assessment to determine student levels and provide appropriate support.

At Sharjah American International School, children from KG1 through Grade 4 are taught in a co-educational environment (mixed between girls and boys). From Grade 5 onwards, students are separated by gender, where girls and boys are taught in separate sections
