The Gulf Asian English School (GAES) was established in the UAE in 1975. It evolved from the Sharjah Montessori School into an educational institution that follows the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum, expanding in 1991 to include secondary education.

The school adopts the Indian curriculum and is located in Sharjah. It is an accredited institution by the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) and is committed to providing high-quality educational services that comply with both MOE and CBSE standards.

GAES mandates age requirements, including:

  • KG 1 children must be between 4 and 5 years old by March 31st.
  • KG 2 children must be between 5 and 6 years old by March 31st.
  • Grade 1 children must be between 6 and 7 years old by March 31st.

Admission Priority

  • Siblings of current students.
  • Admission priority is based on the sequence stipulated according to the acceptance confirmation.

Medical Details

  • The school insists that every student possesses a valid health card as required by the health authorities.
  • The Ministry of Health provides the necessary circulars to students, in accordance with the adopted vaccination schedule.
  • Those who do not possess a vaccination card are immunized based on their previous medical records, which are submitted to the school by parents.

Required Documents

  • Copy of the child’s passport with a valid UAE residency visa.
  • Three recent passport-sized photographs of the child.
  • Copy of the birth certificate.
  • Copy of the Emirates ID card.
  • A certified copy of the report card for the last exam the student passed at the previous school. (Required for students from Grade 2 and above).
  • Students seeking admission to Grade 2 and above must present the original Transfer Certificate (TC), or a leaving certificate from the last school they attended, according to the guidelines below:

For Students Coming from Outside the UAE, the Following Attestation Order Must be Observed:

  • The Transfer Certificate (TC) must be in English.
  • The TC must be signed by the Area Education Officer (for Government/Secondary Schools) / Regional or Zonal Officer (for CBSE/ICSE Schools) and attested by the Embassy or Consulate in the UAE for the country where the certificate was issued.
  • Admission for new students in the first kindergarten classes (KG1) is usually conducted in November/December, and for other grades in January.
  • Vacancies in grades other than KG1 are confirmed after analyzing the re-registration data of current students.

Students Coming from Within the UAE Must Submit:

The original Transfer Certificate (TC) or a school leaving certificate from the school they last attended, attested by the Ministry of Education for the respective Emirate (for schools outside the Sharjah Education Zone).

School fees can be paid through:
