The application process at Uptown International School is a simple three-step process:

Online Application: Before applying, check the age categories to determine the appropriate grade group for your child based on their date of birth.

Finalizing the Application: The confirmation email will provide a list of required documents and details on how to contact the admissions team.

  • One copy of the child's/children's passport and one copy of the parent's or guardian's passport.
  • Copy of the past two years' school reports, signed and stamped on official school letterhead.
  • Copy of any diagnostic testing, educational assessment, or psychological assessment (if applicable).
  • Emirates ID copy of students and parents.
  • Student birth certificate.
  • Previous years' school reports.
  • Student photograph.
  • Transfer certificate.
  • Medical vaccination certificate.
  • For Overseas Transfers: Copy of the transfer certificate from your child's previous school, attested as per KHDA requirements.
  • For Local Transfers: A KHDA-attested transfer certificate from the previous school is required.

Book an appointment for your child's assessment and pay the one-time, non-refundable and non-transferable application fee.

All students applying to Uptown International School must be assessed, regardless of age, grade, school, or nationality.

Securing a Place:

  • You will be contacted to schedule your child's placement assessment, administered by the Admissions Office and faculty members.
  • After the assessment and upon receiving an acceptance letter, a deposit fee is required to reserve the seat.
  • A seat cannot be held until the deposit payment is received; the amount will be advised in the acceptance letter.
  • Acceptance to Uptown International School is contingent upon placement assessment results, student interview, and previous school reports.

Payment methods at Uptown International School vary:

  • Payments can be made by cash, credit card, bank transfer, or cheque, but a manager's cheque is preferred.
  • If payment is made by personal cheque, the school requires payment at least three working days before the invoice's due date. All cheques must be made payable to "Uptown School." A charge of AED 500 will be made for any returned or dishonored cheque. Post-dated cheques for Term 2 must be lodged before the due date.
  • Please contact the Finance Office at +971 (0)4 251 5001, ext. 228, for account details needed to make bank transfers. All charges are the remitter's responsibility.
  • When making a bank transfer, ensure all relevant information is added to the transfer form, including student name and grade, and confirm the transfer by contacting the Finance Office at +971 (0)4 251 5001, ext. 228 or email [email protected].
