About the school
GEMS Modern Academy was established on October 18, 1986, and has since established itself as one of the most prominent educational institutions offering a pioneering educational vision that is difficult to compete with. The Academy is distinguished by its authorization from the International Baccalaureate Organization to offer the Diploma Programme since 2014 and the Primary Years Programme since 2021. It also received candidate status for the Middle Years Programme in August 2021. The internationally accredited bodies and affiliates that recognize it are the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), the International Baccalaureate Organization, and the Council of International Schools.

Admission Procedures at GEMS Modern Academy:
- Complete the online inquiry form to begin the admission process
- Upload all required documents after completing the form
- Receive a reference number (SR) after successful online registration
- Receive an interview appointment or entrance test via email
- Admission is granted based on the results of the interview or entrance test
Age Requirements for Admission:
- Pre-KG: 3 years by March 31
- KG1: 4 years by March 31
- KG2: 5 years by March 31
- Grade 1: 6 years by March 31
Required Documents for Registration:
- Copy of child's passport, visa, and UAE ID card
- Copy of parents' passports, visas, and UAE ID cards
- Copy of child's birth certificate (in English or Arabic)
- Two recent passport-size photographs of the child
- School reports for the last two years with any documents related to learning support needs
- School health form (downloaded from the website)
- For foreign students: Present original ID cards for child and parents at registration
- Transfer certificate or school leaving certificate (required at time of registration)
Transfer Certificate Attestation Requirements:
- Students from other emirates: Transfer certificate attested by the Ministry of Education in that emirate
- Students from GCC countries: Transfer certificate attested by the Ministry of Education
- Students from India:
- Transfer certificate attested by the education official in the district/province/region
- Seal and signature of the education official attested by the Indian Consulate in Dubai and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- No transfer certificate required for students from the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, and European countries
Payment is available in cash, check, or credit card. Payment can be made in person at the school accounts office or through the electronic parent portal. Direct bank transfer to the school account is also available (upon request).
