The school adheres to all laws and regulations in force in the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in student admissions. It does not practice any discrimination based on diversity, gender, race, religion, or academic level, and accepts students with mild to moderate special educational needs.

Procedures

A. An admission application can be submitted for any child who meets the age requirements and provides the required documents from government entities in the United Arab Emirates. Age requirements are:

According to Ministry regulations, a student is accepted in KG1 if they have completed 3 years by September 15 of that academic year. For KG2, they must be 4 years old by September 15, and for Grade 1, they must be 5 years old by September 15.

For Grade 2 and above, proof must be provided that the student studied in the previous grade last year. This proof is either a transfer letter stamped by the Regional Office of the Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEC) if the student is transferring from a school within the Emirates, or a transcript and letter from the school confirming the student's successful completion of a specific grade and certified by the Regional Office of the Department of Education and Knowledge if the student is transferring from a school outside the Emirates.

B. The initial conversation with the administration includes explaining admission procedures and obtaining relevant information about the prospective student.

C. Parents wishing to complete admission procedures submit a completed registration application form, all required documents, pay registration fees, and schedule an interview/placement test appointment.

Required Documents:

• Completed application form signed by the guardian including:
• Name, age, and address
• Names and contact details of parents/guardians with phone numbers
• Registration date
• Previous school or pre-registration status
• Birth certificate (in Arabic or English and officially certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the issuing country and by the UAE Embassy in that country)
• Vaccination card
• Copy of applicant's ID card and passport
• Copy of applicant's guardian's ID card and passport (with valid residence for expatriates)
• Six recent passport-size photographs
• Previous school report or transcript (officially certified copy must be submitted)
• Transfer certificate (in Arabic or English and officially certified)
• Completed medical conditions forms and health agreement
• Copy of applicant's vaccination card
• Completed kindergarten information form for kindergarten applicants
• Certificate of good conduct from previous school if available

D. On the placement test day, all documents must have been submitted by parents.

E. Within two days of the interview or test, the school communicates with parents to inform them of the child's registration options, such as grade placement.

F. Upon registration acceptance, parents pay the first installment, schedule an appointment to purchase the school uniform, and sign the "Partnership Agreement between Parents and School."

G. The class section is determined by the relevant staff member. Factors considered in determining the class section are:

• Mixed-ability class groups; i.e., maintaining similar averages across sections of the same grade
• Gender balance
• Balance between citizen and expatriate students in each class

H. The administrative staff arranges the new student's seat in their class.

A. The official curriculum is based on the State of Ohio American education system. This curriculum is evaluated and adapted to suit local conditions, with the addition of Arabic language, Islamic studies, and Arabic social studies subjects according to the requirements of the UAE Ministry of Education. It has been designed to be appropriate and stimulating for students to enhance their learning according to their abilities and needs.

B. Recognizing that many students speak English as a second language and therefore need support in learning English, the school adopts an English as a Second Language (ESL) support curriculum within the academic curriculum.

C. All students study Arabic, but those whose first language is not Arabic study Arabic for foreigners course.

D. Non-Arabic speaking Muslim students study a modified Islamic studies course.

E. Non-Muslims are given the option to study Islamic studies or another course.

F. Students will be encouraged to choose enrichment subjects or topics within and/or outside the courses mentioned below to meet their special needs. First, by working largely independently with minimal teacher guidance, and second, individual study that may be conducted through accredited external service providers as appropriate.

Academic Subjects:

1. KG1 and KG2: English (including English, drama, music, and art), social studies including UAE social studies, mathematics, science, information technology, Arabic, health and physical education (PSH).

2. From Grade 1 to 7: English (including English, drama, music, and art), social studies including UAE social studies, mathematics, science, information technology, Arabic, Islamic studies, and health and physical education (PSH).

There is no mixing between girls' and boys' classes at the school.

• The school fully recognizes its responsibility to protect every child and care for their safety, and provides a safe, positive, and stimulating environment that promotes the social, physical, moral, and psychological growth of every child.
• Medical services are provided by a professionally qualified school nurse licensed by the Abu Dhabi Health Authority. The nurse cooperates and communicates with the visiting general practitioner and school administration to ensure consistent, high-quality care that protects students' health, contributing to better educational outcomes.
• The clinic provides medical services and health awareness to the school community in accordance with the code of professional conduct for licensed health workers, and in compliance with all relevant government health authority policies. The clinic publishes and announces the list of available services, referral guidelines, patient rights and responsibilities, and health materials such as infection control guidelines and proper handwashing techniques.
• Upon admission, the school collects the student's medical and health information, and the school nurse informs relevant teachers of any health issues that may require specific intervention from them, with an explanation of how to handle them. Parents are required to inform the school of any changes to this information, and the school reviews it at least annually upon re-registration to ensure it is up to date.
