Admission Process

The application form can be obtained from the school administration office. Parents or guardians can also request it to be sent via email by contacting the admissions officer. A separate form must be submitted for each child if there is more than one student in the family. The completed form with required documents must be returned within 7 working days from the date of receipt.

The form must be filled out accurately and completely, and the parent statement must be signed. All relevant information must be disclosed, including any disciplinary, social, physical, medical, or psychological issues. If it is later found that important information was not disclosed, the admission offer will be withdrawn even if the student has already started studying.

Admission at Salalah International School depends on assessing the student's suitability to fully benefit from available educational opportunities and achieve success in the school's programs. The assessment may include interviews with the student and parent conducted by the administration or social worker, in addition to written tests appropriate to the grade level applied for, to assess the student's abilities in English, mathematics, science, and Arabic.

The application will not be considered unless all required data, registration fees, reports, and other documents are received.

Required Documents Include:

  • Copy of the student's latest grade card and reports
  • Copy of birth certificate or proof of date of birth
  • Original transfer certificate from the previous school (before starting studies at the school)
  • 4 recent passport-size personal photos of the applicant
  • Copy of the student's passport (first and last pages) and preferably copies of both parents' passports
  • Relevant medical certificates and special educational needs documents (if any)
  • Copy of residence card for non-Omani students

Parents will be informed within a week of the assessment date whether the child is qualified to fully benefit from the school's educational programs or not, based on the school principal's opinion after reviewing the results and information available at that time.

All applicants will be informed of all required documents and admission steps via email, including the specific timeline for receiving application forms. Forms are issued according to the number of vacant seats in the required grade for the following academic year.

Fee Structure and Policy

Fee Payment

  • All fees must be paid in full on or before the first day of the academic term
  • Invoices are issued at least two weeks before the end of the previous academic term
  • In case of student withdrawal before the end of the term, no refund of any part of the paid fees will be considered

Non-payment of Fees Non-payment of fees may result in:

  • Student losing their seat at the school
  • Withholding academic reports, recommendation letters, or exam results
  • Temporary or permanent dismissal from school

School Transportation

  • School transportation fees are fixed and must be paid on time
  • Full fees apply even when using transportation service in one direction only
  • Service is available from specific points only; details can be obtained from the administration office
  • Parents wishing to stop transportation service must notify the administration at least one month in advance

  • Foundation Stage (3-5 years): Curriculum built on seven developmental areas that encourage curiosity and support comprehensive growth through play, art, music, and movement.
  • Primary Stage (5-11 years): Cambridge curriculum represents the basic foundation, teaching English language subjects (first language and English as a second language), mathematics, science, and information technology, alongside subjects from the Omani curriculum such as Arabic, Islamic studies, social studies, and arts.
  • Preparatory Stage (11-14 years): Based on Cambridge's Secondary 1 framework with specialized teaching distribution where students train on curricula in preparation for IGCSE examinations.
